What a wonderful gathering of people yesterday for the birthday party of Anne Thomson, my late friend's Larry's devoted partner.
Lots of good food and cheer to celebrate an amazing lady. And a large chocolate cake that her two young granddaughters said took them 9 hours to bake..lol. You really could taste the love under that mountain of chocolate icing.
Anne continues to be such an inspiration. As well as being an active member in her church, she usually finds time for her tennis club three days a week as well as pickleball on the other two. Next week, she's off to York University to help at the hospitality desk for the National Bank Tennis Open.
Always smiling, she truly is a wonder. I only hope to be half as active as she is when I reach that 80 th milestone.
