Back on terra firma!
So nice to be home after a wonderful eight day Caribbean cruise.
Our son's wedding to Michelle on a beach in Grand Turk Island was perfect.
If it's true that a parent is only as happy as their least happy child, then know that Terry and I are very very happy today.
Though our family circle has been a bit frayed at the edges over these past few years, Derek's marriage to Michelle has made that circle whole, complete and strong once again.
On our way to the cruise, Derek shared that he's always felt that life is like an equation. Though it may be filled with ups and downs, life always evens out in the long run. Derek is a glass half full kind of person and what he said made me appreciate his rock solid faith and his trust in God's plan.
In fact, after a week like we've just experienced, I'm beginning to realize that God's ultimate plan for each us is far better than we can ever imagine.
