KODACHROME

Last Friday, Terry and I journeyed to Hamilton to grandchild-sit as my son Derek and his wife Michelle took in a movie.

But, not just any movie.

Derek's life long friend Mark Raso was premiering his feature film Kodachrome at TIFF, the Toronto International Film Festival.

What a wonderful event and by all accounts, the movie was a smashing success. The Toronto Star writes,

"Director and Toronto native Mark Raso takes a familiar concept, a road film, and a familiar subject - a difficult father-son relationship - and transforms it into a film with real heart and a hint of nostalgia for the ways that were and could have been. The script by Jonathan Tropper is well constructed with dialogue that rings true and scenes steeped in maturity and depth. It's sure to draw further praise for Raso, a rising star in the independent film world."

The father in the story is played by 66 year old actor Ed Harris, best known for his work in Apollo 13 and The Truman Show. But really Mark, if you were looking for a bald headed dad in his late sixties, I was available free of charge.

Seriously, we are very proud of your latest achievement and are delighted to hear that Netflix has bought the rights to Kodachrome and will have it on their platform soon.

Bravo Mark and continued success in the future!
