One week in, she thought she had pulled a muscle in her leg. Though it restricted her mobility some, she didn't consider it serious until she noticed some bruising in the affected area. A few days later, she felt a crunch in her upper leg while walking, never a good thing.
A trip to the local private hospital revealed a dislocated femur and a seriously damaged pelvis. Within 36 hours of her diagnosis, she was on a private jet back to Synnybrook Hospital in Toronto.
We are saddened by her circumstances but grateful for the speed and efficiency of the health care team that has overseen her care.
We will greatly miss Linda over the next 10 days. She has urged us to not let her plight spoil our holiday but know that we will certainly keep her in our hearts as we continue our Mediterranean holiday.
