LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL!

Terry and I have often wondered about living in a four bedroom house when in fact, we usually only need one.

However, over this past week or so, our home has been stretched to the limit with the arrival of my daughter and her clan from Ottawa.

After so many months of Covid isolation, her children had a chance to reunite with their cousins and also meet their five month old cousin Patrick for the first time.

Swims at Uncle Derek's pool and a birthday party for 7 year old Vivian at her Auntie C-Bear's were highlights for the kids who also enjoyed outdoor activities like badminton, hiking and catching frogs. The big people had their share of fun too with  BBQ's, a few beverages and watching their beloved Toronto Maple Leafs try in vain to advance to the playoffs. (Nine year old Isla had the best line of the week as she watched players go into a skirmish in front of the Leaf net and yelled, "Hey, those guys aren"t social distancing.")

As well, there was a lot of talk and concern about what returning to school and day cares might look like next month.

Family time is so special and necessary in these surreal times and I'm grateful that we've had this opportunity to come together as a family to enjoy and support each other.
