Rule 10: Be precise in your speech.
I used to love Laura Secord chocolates when I was a kid. Maraschino cherry centered ones were my favorites while I tried to avoid anything with coconut.
Chapter 10 was a coconut chocolate for me.
The entire theme of the chapter is summarized by this quote. "When things fall apart, and chaos re-emerges, we can give structure to it, and re-establish order, through our speech. If we speak carefully and precisely, we can sort things out, and put them in their proper place, and set a new goal, and navigate to it - often communally, if we negotiate; if we reach consensus."
In truth, I don't think all problems need to be articulated. The North Star of our conscience should usually be enough to help us correct our course. The luxury of words merely brings the problem into sharper focus.
Here's hoping final two chapters will be maraschino ones!
