KATE BOWLER

As you probably realize by now,  I'm always on the lookout for a new hero.

This week, a Ted Talk popped up on my computer that I had to watch twice, it was that compelling.

The speaker is Kate Bowler, a married 40 year old mother of one, who, at the time of her presentation in 2019, was fighting a Stage 4 colon cancer.

Her talk is both courageous and inspiring. It's also very insightful. Her sharing of what it is like to be on a cancer journey strikes a chord with me and revives so many of the feelings I experienced during the time of my Stage 3 lymphoma. 

 
The Biblical phrase "Be not afraid," comes to mind as I listen to her words.
