After a two year pandemic hiatus, I returned to Holland Bloorview Kids Rehab Hospital to resume my volunteering this week.
Although much had changed, the people, the location of the playroom, the new layers of safety protocols, there remained one constant....the beautiful caring atmosphere surrounding the children.
I feel so very privileged to be a small part of that.
As did some coloring with one of the children, I realized that I had forgotten the joy it brings me to be so close to these little ones who are held closest to God's heart and who are so completely accepting of His will.
Such a humbling message.
As I was leaving, my supervisor/mentor asked me if I wanted to be part of the infant cuddle program at the hospital.
So looking forward to that.
Indeed, I'm feeling so very blessed these days.
