BREBEUF 60th ANNIVERSARY WEEKEND PART 2

A concelebrated Mass at 10 am kicked off the formal celebration of Brebeuf's 60th Anniversary today. The Mass was followed by a series of speeches including one by former principal Father Winston Rye, S.J. and another by long standing alumni chairman Frank MacGrath. Frank payed particular tribute to Jim Barry and the late Neil Gazeley, both men instrumental in assuring that Brebeuf is not only a place of Catholic values and traditions but also one of academic excellence.

A large contingent of current Brebeuf students made sure everything came off smoothly including the ensuing BBQ, school tours and the band performance in the atrium.

I was proud to be in attendance at the ceremony and delighted in seeing former colleagues and students.

Though no one mentioned it, I firmly believe the school's ultimate success is closely linked to its patron who has rejoiced with us in the good times and carried us in the challenging ones.

Thank you Saint Jean de Brebeuf.

Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam!
