PICKLEBALL ANYONE?

The pickleball craze continues to spread, a good game for the geriatric set but also one that has found its way to the younger crowd. In fact, I've recently learned that many high schools are now making it a part of their Phys Ed program.

This weekend, Terry and I were in Ottawa for a pickleball tournament which was serving as a fundraiser for Ringette Canada, a sport that our granddaughters have introduced to us over the past number of years.

Featuring 100 players, the competition involved players of all ages in a round robin of games culminating in some playoff matches.

Lady Luck was smiling on us as I managed to win a bronze medal in what was called the Fun Seekers group... while Terry won a raffle prize.

Hopefully we can return to Ottawa for the tournament next year and more fun seeking.
