HALLOWEEN 2020

Like so many other traditions, Halloween has become a victim of Covid 19 in our Toronto area this year.

Not sure if kids will suffer too much though.

As my granddaughter Isla gleefully reported,  "All of the candy we usually give away will be for me this year."

And of course, little ones are really too young to realize what they're missing.

But, as I walked through our neighborhood this morning with my two and a half year old grandson, I couldn't help but feel a twinge of sadness when, upon seeing a Halloween skeleton dangling from a tree, Elliott was conditioned to ask, "Papa, why that Mr. Bones, he not having a mask?"

Indeed, these are very bizarre times.
