One positive effect of the pandemic is the unifying effect it has had on our community.
We've got to know so many more of our neighbours (and their dogs) on our daily walks about the community. As well, small gestures of kindness now permeate our expanding circle of friends.
This morning, we woke up to discover one such charitable act right outside our window.
Our driveway had been cleared by our neighbour, Peter, who lives three doors down.
When I called to thank him, he insisted he'd return to clear the end of the drive once the snow plough had come by.
Looks like Peter just might get my vote for Neighbour of Year.
Heck, I'll even buy the trophy if I can get him to cut my grass this summer!
