One can't read a book like Humankind and not be challenged to look inward at bit.
The basic premise of the book is that people, by and large, are pretty decent.
On the surface, I couldn't agree more.
But living amidst strangers can be intimidating and scare one into building fences around relationships as well as property.
What is your take on strangers?
And does the six o'clock news make you want to disassociate yourself from much of humanity?
In short, do you really really love your neighbors or just some of your neighbors, the ones that are most like you?
