Dear friend and former colleague Sandra Boetto is in the midst of a cancer struggle.
She had surgery on a brain tumour in January and is now nearing the end of a three-week radiation regime at Sunnybrook Hospital.
Despite the challenge of getting there at 8 am every morning, even in snowstorms, she remains undaunted, a testament to her strong faith and her wonderful support system.
I recently wrote to her calling her a heroine to which she replied, "Yes, some heroin might be a good idea about now."
Lovely to see her sense of humour and optimism.
I'm sure she would appreciate a kind note of support.
