More than anyone I know, Jacques is in touch with the seasons of life. He knows all about the time to plant, the time to cultivate, the time to harvest.
Jacques also knows the time to let go.
It is with great sadness that I report that Jacques’ cancer has spread to his liver, pancreas and kidneys. Although his doctor suggested an intervention with aggressive chemo and radiation, Jacques knows what’s best for him. He wants some peace.
Jacques’ last few months have been filled with intense pain and suffering, with anguish and foreboding but never with fear.... never without trust in God’s providence.
He remains grateful and faith filled; grateful for his wonderful life and faithful to his God and Creator.
Know Jacques that although our physical bodies are sustained just for today by God’s will, our souls are maintained forever by His love.
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity
under heaven:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance.
Ecclesiastes 3:1- 4
