Some months ago, a small group of retired teachers from Brebeuf College got together for a lunch at a local eatery. Nothing fancy, just a chance for some friends to catch up on what's new and share stories about the 'good old days' at the school.
A few of the originals from the 60's were there including Tom Sullivan, Jim Barry, Lou Puccini, Peter Lee and Blair Day.
To be completely honest, I'm not one to linger on memory lane but this special group does remind me what a blessing it was to work in a Catholic school surrounded by so many extraordinary people.
This blog has helped to keep in touch with many of my Brebeuf friends, contacts that have enriched me in the good times and helped sustain me in the challenging ones. I'm beginning to think that all retired staff from Brebeuf should have a similar chance to connect especially during these extraordinary times.
A directory of people who have served at the school would help create that opportunity.
If you would like to be part of such a listing, please drop me a note at mjdaoust@hotmail.com
Your name, years of service at the school and email address will be included on a link at the Brebeuf College Alumni website.
