CHRISTMAS TRADITIONS PART 11 COLUMBIA

One final Christmas tradition is shared by my friend Rob Sedran whose wife is from Columbia, South America. His short story is my favorite as it captures so well the true meaning of Christmas, that is, the welcoming of Our Lord into our world and into our hearts.

"I know on Maria's side, before Christmas, the parents hide the baby Jesus somewhere in the house that is not very easy to find. The one that does find Him however has the great honour of putting the Child in the manger on Christmas Eve. It's quite the big deal and quite the hunt to find Him before someone else in the family does.

After all, Maria comes from a family of 17!"

Have a blessed and joyous Christmas.
I hope you too find Jesus!
