ALL THINGS DINOSAUR

Part of my recent trip to Alberta featured a visit to the Tyrrell Dinosaur Museum near Drumheller, about a 90-minute drive Northeast of Calgary.

Like any good tourist, I took several pictures of the numerous dinosaurs unearthed in the area ....all very amazing.

I had almost forgotten they were on my phone when I was doing a bedside visit of a four-year-old today at Holland Bloorview.

I quickly discovered that he was a real dinosaur lover, with several plastic raptors on his bed.

"Do you want to see some dinosaurs on my phone?" I asked. " I just saw some in a museum."

The youngster nodded in the affirmative, the enormous skeletal structures bringing beautiful smiles to his face. It seems dinosaurs have a universal appeal to children.

Indeed, I really did take those pictures for a very good reason.
