Thanks to the hospitality and kindness of my dear friend Mario, it has been a holiday filled with new experiences, excitement and the surprise of a snow day in Lake Louise.
The motto on Alberta license plates reads,
Wild Rose Country. Probably more apt is Wild Horse Country, the freedom and beauty of the ones I saw on our two excursions to the Rockies capturing so well the spirit of this province. There also is an unmistakable optimism about the future here which is both refreshing and empowering.
Thank you Mario for helping to make some wonderful memories for me and for rekindling a friendship which is both a blessing and touchstone.
We are both richer for our time together.
